Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Need advice: long baby and short changing table

He's almost too long for the changing table and pad. He likes to pull his legs up and kick and now he's kicking down hard on the wood rail.

What do I do now? We have a dresser but it's not wide enough to double as a changing table.

  • Sounds like you have to get more familiar with the floor. My LO days on the changing table are numbered also.

  • DD is very long- around 6 months we just moved to the floor.

  • More often then not I chance DD on the floor.  She has a changing pad on a dresser that I have used maybe twice.  She moves way too much.  We also have an ottoman in our living room I just keep an waterproof pad on and change her there sometimes.

  • Would I be crazy to put a waterproof pad on the bed every day and just use that?

I honestly just don't think I can do the floor with my bad back. It's hard enough for me to get down and play with him/pick him up and down.

  • DS is 'off the charts' as far as height goes!  I just change him on the floor or bed.

You can buy those packs of disposable pads (I reuse them though) at medical supply stores....they are usually blue or green, the oens you probably used at the hospital.

    That would work too!
