Is Sunday at 3pm too late to start a birthday party? Or is 2pm better? I'm so late in planning now, I only have Sunday times to choose from. I'm totally bummed I can't get Saturday but its my fault... where does time go?
I think Sunday at 3:00 would be fine. Unless you are planning to throw down, with your 40 oz and a few shots of Jaeger, then it might be best to get an early start.
I don't think 3:00 would be a problem at all.

I'm assuming the party will be about 2 hours long, yes? If so, I think that 3 PM would be fine.
Do R or P take naps at 3 PM, though?
Unable to even.

No big kegger, just milk & cookies CG - the kids nap anywhere between 11-3pm... so nap time is ok, it just seems so late. I will have to make sure I am more prepared in the years to come to have a location nailed down before the holidays!! Oy vey.
We're doing it at 1:00pm because of the whole daylight thing...people are having to drive from a ways away, so we're trying to give them more day time. E also doesn't nap on any kind of schedule, so we couldn't plan around that.
I think 3 would be better than 2 b/c a lot of babies/toddlers I know sleep after lunch so by moving it to 2 you're more likely to shorten a lot of naps. Both my kids sleep from 2-4:30 so I could easily put them down a little early and still get a decent nap.
and seriously..where did time go??? Seriously...1st birthday party, already? geesh!

3 pm on Sunday is totally fine! You can't try to plan the party around everyone else's nap schedule. As long as it is a good time for Ryan, I say go for it!!!
Uh, I am so behind on party planning. I just needed to get past xmas first, before I could even begin to focus on birthday. Not to mention, I am totally dragging my feet on this because I can't believe my baby is going to be ONE!
It feels like I was just reading Ryan's birth story last week!

2 or 3 on any day would be nap time for most kids though - that's what I would worry about.
We're doing a Sunday party for Ben but at 10AM...
