that orange stuff that grows in my humidifier

How do I prevent that orange buildup in my humidifier?  I clean it every week but it is filled with that stuff.  Would using distilled water instead of tap work?

You just have to clean it.  Changing the water daily helps, but it will come and you just have to clean it.

once a week fill the tank w/ bleach and water and let sit for 20 min. rinse really good and clean the pink stuff off the base, its bacteria, it builds anywhere there is standing water, you cant avoid it, i've tried everything.
