Emmet James is home!

After a long and very difficult delivery my incredible and gorgeous son came into this world on Christmas morning.  He has huge hands and feet and is 21 inches long at 9lbs 4.1oz.

Apparently my first comments after delivery were "you are so gorgeous, I love you so much, OMG your hands are HUGE you really will be a swimmer won't you?  You have your own built in paddles!" 

 We are completely smitten.

My birth story will come in the next few days, I am working on taking it easy and letting my body begin to heal. 

Here is a picture taken shortly after birth. He has dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes and the cutest chubby cheeks.

BTW - Love the name! However, I don't think I'll be able to think of him as anything other than MM though! ?

Congratulations!  I can't think of a better Christmas present.  What a wonderful time of year to cuddle up with your new little precious son.  Enjoy these days, they go by all too fast...
