Total slacker parenting day

DH is hunting. DS and I slept until almost 10 a.m., then he watched Batman DVDs for another 2 hours. Ate pancakes, sausage, a biscuit, and gummy worms for "brunch." Got dressed around 2 p.m. Had a snack of cheese and Christmas cookies. Played with the new toys. Now he is playing video games and I am considering ordering a pizza.

DS comment-- "Mom, are we being lazy bums today, cuz it's really fun."

That was a cute comment your son made and I have to agree with him sometimes lazy days are fun.

some times those days are great.  every once in a while it is awesome!!!!

My kids are craving a day like that.  Today they had my mom's in the morning and dad's in the afternoon.  When we left, DD asked if we were going somewhere else.  When we got home, she said "my house, I love you!"
