We have an IKEA 12 minutes from my house. It's a great thing! I will say, though, that their prices seem to be going up quite a bit on certain items. I used to be able to CLEAN UP in that store. Not so much anymore.
We got DS the Expedit book shelf. The biggest one. It is wonderful. We also bought 20 boxed to go in it. (10 from Ikea, the plastic ones and another 10 from lowes that are metal).
We are in dire need of a new DVD shelf and a new bookcase... I swear, we all got books and DVDs for Christmas!
Our day has been so low-key, so DH and I took the time to rearrange our CD shelves and clean out a closet while DD has been playing. It feels nice, actually, to not feel so chaotic after Christmas...
Mom to J (10), L (4), and baby #3 arriving in July of 2015
Actually, very few prices have gone up. many more prices have been decreased in the last year. We're going tomorrow to get an entertainment center that is $100 cheaper now than it was in their 2009 catalog (2010 catalog prices have been in effect since October).
Also, they are in the middle of a monster sale (Dec 18-31) and tomorrow they are starting some great daily deals. I want a folding table for our laundy room--the one I like is actually a kitchen table. It is normally $269 but on the 27th only, it will be $69--so I will probably be going two days in a row. (I'm going to the one by your house, Monchichi--I'll look for you there, I'm pretty sure I would recognize your DS!)
Re: Anyone planning a trip to Ikea for organization?
One word...
Trofast
Yup, that is what we are getting. Maybe 2! Any suggestions on configuration?
