We didn't get eachother anything this year either. We are planning a little mini-vacation KID-FREE in February or March. That will be our Christmas present to eachother.

We weren't supposed to b/c we got ourselves new couches in November. But I've been talking about a Keurig for ages and DH decided to just get it for me (or have me get it for me). I got him a video game he'd been wanting and ended up adding in a digital photo frame b/c he was half jealous of the one we got his parents and my parents and kept talking about how nice it'd be to have one of those for his desk at work. So we ended up getting each other way more than we planned. The plan was stocking stuffers for less than $50 (maybe $30) each, but we did good on the girls so we did ok budget-wise in the end.
We haven't exchanged gifts since the kids were born. But we do get a small token that's from the kids. It's important for the kids to learn that Christmas is about giving too not just receiving.
Re: Anyone else not exchange gifts w/ DH this year?
We said that we weren't exchanging, but I got him a few things that I knew we would both like from the boys!
Our Christmas was completely scaled back this year due to the economy, but has turned out to be the best one yet!
My 3 year old jumped into MH's arms this morning and shouted "This is the BEST Christmas EVER", and he was right!!
