I didn't do what I know he expected me to do

we are only exchanging gifts with DH's family. So I picked out most of the gifts, wrapped them all and DH just sat and watched me/ the tv.

His sister's gift finally arrived yesterday and I noticed it sitting near the other gifts unwrapped. I know DH expected me to just take care of it but I decided not to. It's probably mean but he can ask if he wants me to do it or better yet he can do it himself!

I agree.  My husband is pretty much useless when it comes to wrapping.  My gifts are either in a gift bag or he goes to my moms and has her wrap them.  No joke.

I made DH get in on the wrapping action this year.  We both sat at the dining room table and it ended up being hilarious.  He was actually decent with a few pointers. I think he'll want to participate again next year...

OHH. that would torque me off.....

this year, I played a trick. I had H's gifts boxed up, and taped  up. I sat them in the middle of the room (he had no idea they were his). I sat down to wrap ALL the gifts (extended family and what not.) And he felt guilty enough to help. In the end, he wrapped two of his own...

heheheh.

The only gift I ask DH to wrap is his present to me.  I don't care if the wrapping is awful, as long as he did it. 

My packages have been getting better looking each year!

I do all the shopping for his family, then he gets upset when something isnt good enough.  Theyre not my family.  If you want a say in what they get, then you can either do it yourself or give me some input.  Oh, the joys of a DH

OMG I know... my DH was going on and on to my friend how nice it was to be married and not having to buy any gifts except for me.. okay, well you could have helped wrap..and do NOT complain about the money spent or the items purchased since you offered up nothing.
