Hello ladies! I plan on lurking around here for a while and wanted to introduce myself.
My name in Brieanne. DH and I just found out yesterday that we are expecting twins. After experiencing a loss earlier this year we would have been thankful for one healthy baby, but are now (cautiously) expecting our double miracle. The nurse told us that lots of pregnancies start as twins but end as one.... but we are going to be optimistic. I usually post on TTCAL or PgAL but look foward to getting to know you all.
So far I haven't found too much useful info on multiples online or in my books. Are there any wedsites or books you would reccomend???
Re: Intro
CONGRATS!!!!
I know a bunch of us MoMs will suggest buying Dr. Barbara Luke's When you're expecting twins, triplets, or quads. It is AWESOME in terms of going through all the FAQs of a multiples pg, and it gives guidelines for nutrition, weight gain goals, handy charts, etc.
I bought mine at Barnes n Noble, but I assume it's avail. at most any major store/site (i.e Amazon, etc.).
Sending positive thoughts to you! Welcome to the MoM board!!
Congratulations!
I third the rec for Dr. Luke's book.
Congrats and welcome!
I ditto Dr. Lukes book - but this board is also Extremly helpful!
Congrats and welcome!! I haven't gotten the Dr. Luke book, but have a lot of others. I think this board has been the most helpful so far. You can also check and see if there is a MoM group in your area. I signed up but haven't gone to any of the meetings yet. I have no energy to go at 6:00 on a Tuesday night, but that's just me. I just bought the Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Twins book. It looks good so far.
