random fact: both my niece and nephew said dd has elf ears

on two separate occasions and one is my sister's girl and the other my brother's boy and they don't play together often, so it's not like they were talking about it together.  they are both 8 years old.  they weren't trying to be mean...i actually think they thought it was cute, but it was so interesting to me how something like that *could* be a "negative" for an adult, but a "positive" for a child...so innocent.  lol  well, out of the mouths of babes...it must be true...i have a santa's little helper. ;-)

eta: i'm not offended...i just thought it was funny and interesting at the same time.
