So I posted a few days ago asking for advice, here's the original post https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/28031421.aspx
So, we got the boys on Monday and things are going great! Looks like I was freaking out alot over nothing! They are only slightly more difficult than taking care of one baby. They eat 3 oz every 3 hours during the day and go about 4 hours at night which is way better than I expected for them being only 4.5 weeks old. I have gotten into the bad habbit of letting them sleep on my chest at night, hehe. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you SO much for all the great advice!! ![]()
Re: F/U to getting custody of SIL's twins
Yay! Glad to hear things are going well; I was reading that post to DH the other night and we were just so moved that you took these little boys in. Take care of yourself and those lucky little boys
I'm of no help in the advice department, but I can say a prayer for you anytime.
Twin boys born too early at 17w4d and 18w2d in February 2010
Transabdominal cerclage placed September 2010

We're all guilty of letting them sleep on our chests from time to time...how can you not to? they're just so stinking cute!!!

that is wonderful!!
since you have a child you'll do fabulous- b/c you know what to do with one baby - now the hard part is just doing it twice (bathing, changing diapers, feeding, etc). The baby stage isn't bad if they are good sleepers... for me- the 6-8w period was the hardest because Gray's reflux started then and he was miserable- and the sleep deprivation really hit in... but then they started STTN at 8w, Gray got put on zantac, and things got better.
I hope things stay smooth for you - keep us posted!!!
