Six months ago, my 65 year old retired dad recently found a group of people he went to elementary school with. They email back and forth every few weeks and met up twice for lunch - it's about 15 men and women. So, one of the women keeps emailing my dad asking him to meet up with her for lunch/dinner/etc. She wants to carpool with him to the next reunion get together, but she lives 2 hours away from my parents. She sends him cute e-cards with flirty messages. She emails him about twice a week asking where he lives, inviting him to her house, etc. My dad will email her back and give her excuses about how he can't go out with her because he's spending time with his wife/family, he's busy getting ready for the birth of his grandchild, he's traveling, etc. I just think it's kind of funny because this situation is SO not like my dad. He just wants to tell her to go away, but doesn't want to be rude about it. I told him to just stop responding to her emails. Oh, and I'm hearing all this from my mom who is getting irritated by all this. Again, this is SO not like my parents, it's kind of funny.
