skype tips?

My aunt wants to skype on xmas, to see us and the kids.  I have never done it before but I installed the software, and my laptop has an 'eye'.

Any tips or suggestions?  Is it pretty straightforward?

I skype with my friend in Sweden sometimes. As far as I remember it was pretty straight forward. We've had some trouble with it freezing on us, so lately we've been using Microsoft Live Messenger or I also use gmail chat to video chat with my family in Buffalo.  Both of those seem to work pretty well, but also freeze on occasion.

it's really easy.  i do it almost daily with my sister.  Make sure the room is lit pretty well.  It seems if the room is dim the picture is grainy.  It is so awesome I love it.
