Still don't even know if I'm hosting Christmas dinner.

My younger mostly college aged siblings are all in town for the holiday. My mother just informed everyone that she is working on Christmas and that we'll be doing our family get together on Saturday instead.

Since my mom will be at work I invited all of my siblings here for dinner. They won't know until this evening whether or not they will be able to come. 

So basicly, I may or may not be making dinner for up to 8 other people. I have nothing planned yet since I still don't have a firm yes or no. If they all decide to come it looks like I'll be doing some last-minute menu planning, grocery shopping and house cleaning on Christmas Eve!

How is they don't know if htey can come?  I would make it an easy menu...just think of one in your head now and clean...that way at least that part is done.  I hate things last minute (the stores will be crazy tomorrow!).

Ha, that sounds like a mastaccioli dinner. Super easy, cheap and quick.

They don't know if my mom will let them use her car to drive here- Mom is notorious for being 100% non-committal and refusing to give anyone a "yes" or "no" to absolutely anything until the last minute. 

Anyhow, several of my siblings flew into town. Only one sister has a vehicle here and they won't all fit into it, so that's why they'll need another car in order to come.
