How do you label your milk?

I don't freeze my milk because DD won't take it (tastes funny) and we typically use all that I pump anyways. But I want to make sure what I have in the fridge is used on time and in order. I currently keep it all in a container organized front to back. I want to label each bottle with the day it was put in, but don't know what to use.

Any ideas? TIA

  • I used the circle dot stickers that you can find in the office supply isle.. they are usually 4 different colors.  I just wrote the date on them and then put it on the cover of the bottle.

  • I use blue painters tape. We just happened to have it around the house and it doesn't leave any sticky residue on the bottles!

    This. Works great.

  • I use colored elastics I got from Staples. Each day represents a color and all I need to do is make sure I have the right color elastic to put on the bottle. On the fridge is a tiny calendar that shows Sun=Black, Mon=Red etc.

  • I got the Mothers MilkMate system and I LOVE it!  It makes it so darn easy - it works like one of those soda can dispensers so you can't help but use the oldest milk first.  Plus the bottles are BPA-free, will hold up to 6 oz, have great seals on them and have held up great (bought 10 months ago).

This.  It works well and even DH understands.
