I'm sorry to bother you with a stroller question, but I was just curious. Does Griffin like the toddler seat?
I'm eyeing the Valco w/ toddler seat, but was curious as to whether he actually stayed put in it. DD is forever wanting to get down (out of the stroller, out of the shopping cart, etc) and walk. I'm just not sure that the Valco would be worth the $ if that's all she ever wants to do anyways.
On the other hand, though, she might think it's neat to be higher up than the twins. She'll sort of be able to 'drive' and navigate in her 2 year old way. And I do think I need something that can keep all 3 contained at the same time.
I assume it has a strap to hold her down - is that a fair assumption?
Thanks for any thoughts you have!
Re: *Goldie* re: Valco reality
Griffin really likes the toddler seat - because it is up high - i think he feels special in it --- but he's not one to complain about being in a stroller (he's not in one that often now- but he never had problems with the stroller).
The toddler seat does have a 5pt harness, and you can buy a sun canopy for it (we have it). It's also great because you can pull it up to a table and it's the perfect height for eating at a table - which has been nice when we've been at fairs, the boardwalk, etc- so we don't have to deal with him in/out of a booster seat.
We have the hitch hiker board to use when he stops liking the toddler seat- that is another option for you- and might be better since your DD already doesn't like the stroller ? You can use that on many strollers, though- not just the VAlco--- so a cheaper stroller might be better for you- b/c yeah, the valco is $$$$. I wouldn't have it if I didn't find it on craigslist - i couldn't afford to pay retail!
Oooh, Can you use the hitch hiker board and the toddler seat attachment all at once, I wonder if it would make it hard to push? I was hoping when the triplets get older, I could put the 3 of them in the valco w/ toddler sear, but I worry that my now toddler wouldn't want to walk all the time, but maybe with the hitch he could ride? TIA
I assume you could- have never done it - still haven't used the hitch hiker at all - but I'd think you could do both!
