Lesson Learned: Pancake Mix =/= Bisquick

I ran out of bisquick tonight while baking a double batch of sausage balls (with fresh sausage from a local farm, no less) and DH convinced me to use our Walmart brand pancake mix instead (... 99% sure he was just too lazy to go to the store).

Soooooo I just pulled the first pan of them from the oven. Not ruined, but definitely fluffier and more spread out than previous batches.

*sigh*

    my H has done that :) Actually, he was trying to make dinner for me and make red-lobster biscuits... and he used pancake mix instead. It was a nice effort :)
