I have seen the posts about cyst on babies brain after big ultrasound but not much on what we were told today. Apparently our baby has borderline ventriculomegaly (limits of normal are 1mm to 10mm) and our baby is at 10mm. We are going to get repeat ultrasound and talk with genetic conuselor in two weeks. There was a lot of discussion about an amnio but we both don't want to go through risk of miscarriage again when everything could potentially be fine in the end and really results would not change for us. Next step from there could be an MRI he said to try and review further.
Anyone been told this before or heard of any success stories? We certainly were excited to see healthy baby moving around until this news. While we know it could eventually go away or be normal for our child, we are scared to death obviously given our history.
Re: Big Ultrasound/borderline ventriculomegaly
Our baby does have a cyst which is scary enough so I feel for you!!! It looks like with a score that low like it may go away on it's own though. (you know cus I'm a dr from my research online
?
Sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way!!!!
