I wanted to make this awesome recipe for Christmas that calls for Boursin soft cheese. Is this one of the no no's on our list of things you shouldn't eat while pregnant? When I was pg the first time I had all this stuff memorized but now I'm like totally forgetting everything. TIA!
Re: Is Boursin on the soft cheese list??
Check to make sure it's pasturized. If it is your good to go! Or if the recipe calls for it to be cooked, then it's like the deli meat rule where as long as it's steaming. I love that cheese!
If it's sold in the US it's almost guaranteed to be pasteurized. There are definitely exceptions to this so check the ingredients.
ETA: God bless pasteurized brie. Mmmmmmmm
that reminds me...we have some in the fridge. yum.
My dh does this amazing thing with beating flat chicken breasts and the rolling sliced boursin with it and frying it. Totally worth the cholesterol.
