Where to shop for baby in the USA? I need some recommendations!

We're vacationing at the end of the week til Jan 3rd (yipee!) and we've talked about looking for baby gear (crib, travel system) while we're down south since we have means to get it back up here...and prices are much much cheaper down there.

Any suggestions on stores to hit? the BRU selections here kinda suck! Other than that, we have Sears and The Bay, and Children's Furniture Gallery (holy pricey!)

Buy Buy Baby has an ok selection. Walmart & Target you can find P&P's, high chairs, and other things like that at for reasonable prices. As far as clothing, The Childrens Place, Gymboree, Kohls, Carters. HTH

Yes I've heard of the Buy Buy Baby...I will need to investigate! Our Walmart selection on baby gear is horrible here - really we're so limited in my city it's prety ridiculous unless you pay top dollar and I'm sorry...but we just can't afford to spend $900 on a friggin stroller!

ack! it's no where near where we're going to be! Tampa area, and Buy Buy Baby is in Coral Springs or Miami!

Shan- you may want to check out the book Baby Bargains if you can. They have tons of info in there. Or maybe you can google it. I don't live in that area so I have no idea where to begin.

Kohl's usually has good deals. Burlington Coat Factory has a huge baby section. You can get Carter's for under $10 if you dig.
