Alliteration in names?

I have never really liked alliteration in names - the first letter of the first and last names matching. But DH and I both really like Cosette for a girl, and our last name is Cameron. I'm wondering is Cosette Cameron sounds sing-songy.

Our current front runner for a middle name is Grace. Thoughts?

Re: Alliteration in names?

  • I loooooove the name Cosette. DH shot it down, though (we're having a boy anyway). But, to answer your question "Cosette Cameron" sounds like an actress to me! I get the picture of a beautiful little girl.  Cute name. I also picture a 3 syllable middle name that starts with a different letter like: Cosette Malia Cameron.

  • as long as it's broken up by something in the middle that is soft sounding and whatnot, I think it's fine!
  • Cosette Cameron is a beautiful name! I also like Grace as the mn - nice choice!
  • I don't like alliterative names-- but that might be because my married initials are C.C., and both end in an "e" sound. However, I think Cosette Cameron has different enough sounds between the two words, and she'll probably get a married last name some day.
