Katelyn?

... we cannot settle on a girls name!! but thank goodness we have plenty of time.

My DH loves Katelyn - its his new fave name. I like it but My nieces name is Kate - do you think thats an issue?

(Also - My DDs names are Brooklyn & Kalina. Too close with the 'lyn's' or cute together?)?

Thoughts???

    I think it's fine with your niece named Kate. They're completely different names. I like it with your other DDs names, but you might get people mixing up Brooklyn and Katelyn, just be prepared for that.

    Katelyn is too Blah for me. And with a cousin Kate she would have no individuality. How about Kirsten, Makayla,  Payton, Aspen, Skylar or Savanna? Those would all sound nice with your other girls names. Good luck.

    I think it's fine, but you could always go with a different spelling to make it a little different. My middle name is Caitlin, and I also know a Caitlyn... I do like the spelling you are using a lot though

    I like the name with your DDs.  I think having a Kate and a Katelyn in the same family is fine.

    I love Katelyn. I don't think it's a big deal unless you plan to call her Kate. All the Katelyns (and various spellings) that I know never had a NN.

    Katelyn almost looks like a smash-up of Kalina (Ka) and Brooklyn (lyn). I would avoid it for that reason only.

    I love the name katelyn (that is my DD's middle name), but it does seem pretty close to Kate.

    honestly, I say no because it seems like its a combo of your other daughers names.
