i am home from work this morning with yet another tension headache that has migrated to my sinuses. icing the back of my neck and my sinuses def helps relieve the pain, but once i take the ice off it's not long before the pain returns.
i have only been taking tylenol when the headache persists overnight or if i need to be somewhere, so no more than every other day. (really like every 3rd day). i know tylenol is safe i just normally never take otc medications so i am wary about taking it daily (my headaches usually start in late afternoon/early evening every day). so how often is ok to take tylenol?
Re: how often is it ok to take tylenol?
I have been wondering this too, but I need it for my aching back and am afraid to take it too often.
I also had terrible headaches earlier in my pregnancy and I found that a Coke worked almost as well as Tylenol.
every 4-6 hours. max of 4000mg a day (so if you're taking extra strength ones 2 at a time, that's only 4 times in 24 hrs you can take them)
feel better ;-)
