crib comforter

Did you go organic for this? Did you even get a crib comforter? Did you just get whatever matched your LO's sheets?

Re: crib comforter

  • We did not and do not have one and are moving DS to a toddler bed. He's on the mattress on the floor now and just uses his "blankey". All we bought were some crib sheets and we ended up getting a bumper when he started getting caught bw slats while rolling around.

  • Don't waste your money. ?The safest thing is a tight fitting sheet and NOTHING ELSE in the crib.

  • I didn't go organic.  Didn't even use the thing until J moved to a toddler bed.  (I didn't buy new bedding for DS #2, I already had two crib sheets).

  • A friend of mine made DD's crib blanket.  It is not organic.  She used it for tummy time and that was about it.  Never slept under it.  Now it's her blankie.

  • we didn't get one either. we got organic sheets (gerber brand) and we use two crocheted afghans that DH's Grandma made for DS. They are really breathable, but warm. I didn't use them until he could roll over. Before that, we used swaddling blankets or sleepsacks.

  • we didn't buy an organic comforter but we do have one ... came with the WAY inexpensive set that we purchased and I don't plan on using it in the crib ... like others said ... tummy time and such ...
  • If you want a comforter in your crib, i suggest you go with this organic sleep sack...ergoPouch...wonderful in every way! https://www.mamaista.com/2009/10/08/the-rolls-royce-of-sleep-sacks/
