Preemies

we're getting there!

The NICU opened back up, things have calmed down. We talked to the doctor and they took Marlee off of the cpap machine!! She's now down to a feeding tube and an IV. Her Xrays didn't look as good as the doc wanted them too, and they're suspicious of pneumonia, so they're keeping her on antibiotics for another 5-7 days. She has a skin tag below her right ear and the did a renal sonogram on her and determined everything looks wonderful, no problems, so they'll remove it.

We went and I got to attempt to breastfeed and I also got to change a diaper!! She decided to pee on my hand...it was wonderful LOL.

I think she looks like her daddy here.

  • That's great that she's off CPAP! I hope her lungs are healthy and she can come home soon!
  • So cute! She looks like she is enjoying being off the cpap!

  • what a cutie pie!

jack had two skin tags about that size right next to his ear. we had them removed at about 9 months old (they wouldn't do it earlier) and now he just has a scar - not even raised, just a red line. it didn't bother him healing either and it was a 2 inch scar. the plastic surgeon told us that it was pieces leftover from the ear forming in utereo - i thought it was interesting, but he didn't have an answer when i asked if they would have still been there if he went to term.

that's exactly what I thought when I saw the skin tag, it looks like it's supposed to be apart of her ear.

  • I'm sure she is so relieved not to have that cpap in her nose!!  Luke would always try to pull his out!  Yay for progress! :)
