Grrrrrr. Seriously i can't find anything that doesn't break the bank and make me wanna choke when I see the price.
I mostly wear suits or dress very fashionable for work. I have to look good... I'm in sales. I have found some great looking maternity clothes online (Motherhood just doesnt have stuff that looks good or fits me as I am petite) but then I look at the price and its usually over $100 for a dress or shirt!! Uuuuugh. Really I'll pay that for something I can wear for the next few years, not the next few months....
Sorry rant over... back to surfing the web for clothes.
Re: Maternity Clothes.... vent
I'm with you! I usually only buy stuff that's on sale, which makes it tough to bring into the current season, but thank goodness layering is in.
I did find a cool online maternity store, Sierra Lane, who carries lots of different brands and the sales aren't too bad...right now they're also giving an extra 25% off.
Accessories (scarves, big earrings/necklaces, lots of bracelets, brooches) have been helpful for me because most of the stuff I've purchased is pretty boring looking...so maybe that's an option for you too.
GL though....I know exactly what you're going through.
Ann Taylor Loft?

I'm all about accesorizing!
I'm checking ebay but it looks mostly frumpy stuff too. I've never been pregnant during winter (as winter as we get here in SE TX) either so when summer comes I'm great for casual stuff....
I'm checking out the Gap... what ya'll think about this??

Nice to see a familiar face! Everyone here seems nice!
I think that would look great for work with the right accessories! I love Gap Maternity.
Ya $60 isnt too too bad.
Ive been looking on ebay for suits but I'm generally a size xs/s and that size doesnt pop up too much.
Ebay was a bust for me...I looked for a few weeks and it was very frustrating. I went to the maternity stores and hated the thought on spending so much $$ on poor quality suits, skits, etc.
Here is what I did for work clothes (btw, I have the same occupation as you):
Basically, I mix and match my maternity pants with my regular suit jackets and leave them open and it looks cute. Just make sure to wear thin tops, nothing bulky so your arms aren't stuffed in the jacket.
I bought Gap maternity pants (only $40 each!) in black, heather grey, and charcoal. I wear my suit blazer and leave it open with a cute top underneath and am LOVING the scarf trend right now. I have some lightweight ones for the warmer days in Texas.
I also love the statement necklace trend. It can really dress up a plain tee/slacks and add a sweater wrap top from Old Navy, super inexpensive and looks cute.
I also have some non-maternity Diane Vonfustenburg wrap dresses that I hope I will be able to wear for another 2 months or so.
I needed a dress for our Christmas party and did splurge on a non-maternity BCBG sweater dress that has ruching on the sides. I bought it in my pre-preg size but it stretches so I am able to wear it now and hopefully, for years to come
I wish I had visited the Gap Maternity first vs Pea in the Pod. I would have saved more money and the gap has quality tops, cute cords and lounge pants...and love it when they are on SALE. And you know that the Gap is always discounting their clothes. I just saw they have black and grey wrap dresses for 27.99..down from 60!
Now, if anyone knows where to find a cute maternity pencil skirt that doesn't cost 75+....let us know!!
Here is that BCBG dress with ruching:

Where in Texas are you at?? I work for Novartis here in SE texas.
I like your suit jacket with maternity pants idea. Im liking some of the gap maternity pants.
Ditto the pencil skirt request- the one at motherhood just about swallowed me up.
I'm near Austin and work for big pharma, too.
Try to go to a Gap store if you can to try on the different styles. I fonud my store had more variety than online and they were less $$.
Hopefully Gap will come out with some skirts for spring...perfect to wear in South TX heat!
Well, here are the ones I purchased. They have different types of panels. I will have to grow into the full panel but prefer the medium panel as of now. I'm 19 weeks.
I wear suits by Ann Taylor, Theory and Laundry and the Gap pants closely match my blazers....hope this helps.

Bought these in Heather Grey but they are only showing tan:

And for casual, I bought these Cords in tan...so comfy! But they may be out of your size...? I bought a 2-Regular and they are a tad big but hoping they will shrink...
