I had bad morning sickness and lost 12 pounds total. At this point I'm still down 9.5. The morning sickness is gone thank goodness and I am eating now.
Is anyone or has anyone else been at negative weight loss this late in their pregnancy?
Lobster is worried that I'm not eating enough, I eat every few hours and until I'm full. I've never had a history of an eating disorder or anything, I'm not worried about that. Like I said, I eat.
Now he's got me worried that something's wrong. Can you reassure me?

I'm almost 22 weeks and I'm still down 5 pounds. I lost 16 pounds in the first trimester. I'm not worried though. I know I'll be gaining a lot soon.
It was the same with my son and I gained 32 pounds after I gained everything that I lost back. DS was 8lbs when he was born.

I just reached my pre-pregnancy weight at my last appointment. (21 wks, gained 10 lbs in a month) I was small to begin with and lost 15 pounds from m/s. My doctor said I am not where she wanted, but she doesn't see any problems. I am sure I will catch up b/c I eat way too much now.
I lost 15 lbs in 1st tri, and I'm still down... 15 lbs.
I had some extra weight to lose, and the m/s combined with healthier eating and giving up soda all contributed to my loss. My doctor isn't worried, and if yours isn't, you shouldn't be.
I'm sure I'll gain it all back and more, so I'm not too concerned at this point. My doctor told me that I'd have to be malnourished for LO not to get what he needs from me. Stay hydrated, take your vitamins, keep eating when you need to, and you'll be fine!
Yep- I lost 7 lbs in the First Tri- have only gained 2 back at this point. I was heavier to start with and agree with some posters above that I think baby is just using my reserves at this point and as baby grows and uses those up they balance each other out. I didn't really have any sickness early on though, just food aversions. I am pretty sure that healthier eating combined with giving up coffee and soda have helped keep the early weight off.
My doc is thrilled when I go in and do not change a lb...she only wants me to gain 15 lbs total, so I figure if I can make it to the 3rd tri and just get back to my pre-preg weight I will be doing awesome. It just means less to worry about losing after baby!

I didn't start gaining weight until 20 weeks with ds b/c of ms. I had lost so much weight that midwife made me drink ensure, blagh. FYI ensure and carnation instant breakfast are exactly the same thing, found that out after ds was born. You are fine, your body will catch up. If anything your baby is getting the nutrients that you are still a little behind on. Your body will give the baby what it needs before you. My son was born perfectly healthy 7 lbs 4 oz and he has never had any medical issues beyond needing tubes. Just do your best to eat now and add some more high protein foods. If you're worried talk to your ob/mifwife.

This exactly.
Baby has measured right on scale for me too, actually I think a week ahead.
I'm still negative at 22 weeks. I lost 20 lbs in the first tri due to not having an appetite. I've only gained 3 lbs so far, so, still -17 lbs. My OB is not worried, he just told me to eat well and often, and that I'll gain weight when it's time to gain weight.
I've always been a little heavy pre-pregnancy, so I had a little to lose, but I never thought that gaining weight would be an issue during pregnancy!!
