(Crosspost) A Very Sad Update

I thought I'd repost this here from the Upstate NY main board:

RivieraBound sent me a message this morning to let me know that Mike passed away yesterday morning in his sleep.  She is, of course, devastated, but relieved that he is no longer in pain.  He described chemo as "a year long flu", and she is glad that he no longer has to endure the chemo, radiation, vomiting and pain.

She said a big thank yo to everyone on the board who has been thinking of and praying for them, and she will get online soon herself.  Mike's calling hours will be Tuesday night and the funeral in Wednesday, and then she is going to NC for Christmas and New Years.

I am planning on going to calling hours, and will post the information on here for anyone else that would like to go. Thank you all again for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
