any difference between shutterfly ordering online and in store pickup in terms

Um, yes there is a difference.  Shutterfly shipped pics are printed at Shutterfly.  In store pickup are done by the store you are picking them up at!  Different printing machines!

You might not be able to get matte finish at the store (if that matters to you)

Honestly, I don't think it matters --- other than I like matte finish and that's usually not available at the in store pick up ones.

Usually in store pick up is on selected sizes also (4x6 only). If you want any bigger pictures or calendars, stuff like that its not available in the store.
