Easy peasy. Just drink a glass right after feeding him. That way, you most likely have a few hours until he needs to feed again. so most of the alcohol in your system will be metabolized by then.
I think they say if you're sober enough to drive, you're sober enough to breastfeed. Enjoy!

That's what I always heard too. How about after he goes to bed for the night? He's sleeping throuhg, right? If you over indulge you can always pump and dump if he's down for the night.
If you are sober enough to drive you are sober enough to bf! And you don't have to pump and dump unless it is for your own comfort (engorgement). What I mean is the alcohol does not stay in your breastmilk, it goes away the same way it leaves your blood stream.
The highest risk is before the baby is 3 months old bc their liver is not mature enough yet. But after 3 months you can have a drink or two and still nurse.
Elizabeth is generally down for the night around 11/12. Our neighbor's son is 1 1/2 and is asleep by 8:30 so we will go over there on Fri or Sat nights occasionally. So what I do is feed her at 8pm. Go over and have a drink, play beer pong. Feed her again at 11 and put her down. Then I go to bed bc it is late. But if it wasn't so late and I wasn't tired I could always go back and have more.
