Good morning, everyone! Can't believe I'm posting on this board! My little Oscar is 4 days old today and has a ferocious suck on him. Yikes. We're latching correctly (I think!) but I have scabs on the top parts of both nipples. It freaking kills. I've been putting Lansinoh on in between feedings but will take any and all advice, tips, etc...
Re: Scabbing on nipples
That is a good tip, I'm going to try that as well.
Also I like these soothing gels which I use approx 1 x daily or every other. They need to be left on a while so I try to time in the night when he is likely to go about 3ish hrs instead of 3 between feedings an also the residue needs to be wiped off with a warm damp cloth but they feel really nice on sore nipples. I used to have some small scabs but it appears those have healed. They are sort've sensitive now but not nearly as bad as before.

WOW. I'm going to try this today!
