Quad screen question...

in 2nd Trimester

I had my blood drawn yesterday for my quad screen. Should I just expect to hear the results at my next appt.? That's at 20 weeks.

How did you get your results?

    My doctor said she would call if there was something abnormal, otherwise, no news is good news.

    I got mine drawn on Wed and got a call from the nurse with the good results today.  Mine was  a little different situation though.  I had refused the test initially.  Baby had a choroid plexus cyst on big u/s and so we decided to get the blood work since we were still in the window to do so.   Dr knew I was a little more anxious about it so made sure I got the results right away.

    My niece had choroid plexus cysts and as expected they disappered and she is a healthy, beautiful 3 year old.

    Ditto. My doc said he'd call if anything was wrong. We had blood drawn last appt, and today we found out the results at our 20 wk appt. All good!

    Thanks for the encouragement.  I know in my head that I shouldn't be too worried but my pregnant hormonal self has had a little harder time with that.  It's nice to hear many many times how it has turned out to be nothing.  We should have a follow up u/s around 30wks and hopefully get the news that they are gone.

    My doctor's office calls with all results, and usually about 2 days after my appt.

    I would assume if they were normal you'd hear at your next appointment. My OB only calls if results are abnormal.

    They called me a week later to say they were normal but I've heard other people say the doctor doesn't call unless there's an issue.
