Waiting for Amnio results.....

Hello. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow. I had the set of 2 steriods at 31 weeks. I have high b/p late in pregnancy from a heart surgery I had as an infant. I have been having lots of icky symptoms lately like headache, swelling, seeing stars, etc..... So my doctor decided to do an amnio so I can deliver early. Doctor said at 36 weeks it's 50/50 with the shots a little better. Anybody else been through this and what do you think my chances are of her lungs being mature? Thanks!

we had intermediate maturity at 32 weeks, born at 33 weeks, needing no respiratory assistance.

DS was born at 35 weeks, was on a CPAP for one night.

both my boys were born at 34 weeks. #1 was on cpap for 1 day mostly b/c he had fluid in his lungs #2 never needed anything. Good luck.

Girls mature faster than boys in ute--generally. My 35w4d DD had no breathing assistance needed. Best of luck to you!
