I put a lot on while I was preg... fortunately I lost a ton of water weight and my belly went down a LOT in the past two weeks (and I did read somewhere that you can hit a plateau around then).
I was afraid to diet because I am BFing, but I have been so busy I sometimes don't have time to eat anyway, so I am totally proud of myself for having self control and not eating crap. Better yet, my milk supply is still awesome!
Any tips though? It is slow going... I'm so tired and I basically hold the baby all day, I have resorted to doing squats and lunges while she sleeps in my arms! Too cold to power walk, especially since my toddler takes forever to keep up.

my brother introduced me to this excellent workout and has done wonders!
its perfect for people like us who can't get to a gym. its called tabada (its a crossfit workout) and it only takes 12 minutes. it kicks your arss big time. be careful....the first time i did it i had trouble lifting the kids cos my arms were so tired, but it gets easier.
if you are interested i can post the specifics. I love it because i'm doing something and i can find 12 mins in some part of the day to do it.
What sort of things are you doing to play with your toddler? Maybe you can have a dance party where you increase your heart rate and burn a few extra calories.
You can also try some power cleaning or increase the number of times you hike the stairs. Maybe get some small weights and place them at the bottom of the stairs and pick them up and do bicep curls when you go up and shoulder presses on your way down.
This is why I want a spring or summer baby next- so I can get out and walk to exercise after. I lgained 41lbs while pg and lost about 30 just by breastfeeding/good food choices. When Justin was about 3 mths old I started working out again. By the time he was 6 mth old I had lost all 41 + about 15 more that I had hanging around.
Now it's slooooowly creeping on again. I've already gained 6lbs since this summer
