Double stroller help!

I am in need of a double stroller. I have a two year old and another dd due in April. Most double strollers I like, do not have the ability to put the infant carrier on them :o( Anyone found one they like? The only option I have found is the Kolcraft and I looks huge and heavy!

Re: Double stroller help!

  • I'm looking for a double also. All of the strollers I've really liked so far have HUGE price tags and while I wouldn't mind putting out the money, if I get something great, DH isn't all about putting out the money.

  • Graco Duoglider LX  is a double that fits with snugride infant car seat. Check consignment stores also for a cheaper price
  • I am getting the Bumbleride Indie Double. It is expensive, but has great reviews. The Chicco Keyfit 30 fits in it.

I am with you! But even the strollers I have found that are expensive still do not hold an infant carrier. I just can't imagine putting a tiny newborn in a stroller w/out it. I am sure it would be fine but I just like the thought of being snuggled in the carrier.

  • Yes, I just went through this. We bought the eddie bauer travel system w/ DD but the double stroller has aweful reviews. So we were trying to be cheap about this too because our travel system is only 16 mo. old.

I checked the graco duoglider line but all the patterns were ugly IMO. Until I went to Sears.com They have the high street (I think it's called) style. I loved it. We got the stroller for $165 after tax and the carrier was about $85. I wish our Eddie Bauer carrier would clip into other strollers other then the eddie bauer stroller, but at least this set didn't cost to much.

This is the stroller I'm drooling over! I'm really hoping that I can convince DH that this is the one we need to get. I've already talked to a boutique about selling me the 2009 floor model at a discount after they get the new 2010 model in.

So far, I have the Bumbleride Indie Twin, Baby Jogger City Mini Double, and the Graco Quattro Tour Duo. All of them either have adapters or accept our carseat.

  • I'm going with baby trend double sit n stand  ....its compatible with most baby carriers, and has the option to be a traditional double stroller, or a sit n stand...which I like since DD will be pushing 3 by the time this LO is born.

I don't have any recs, but I really like this one, too. I can only imagine though that DC #2 would want to touch the wheels, given that they'd be within reach. If my DD was in that seat, she'd be trying to eat the wheels. That's my only issue.

We have the Baby Jogger City Mini Double and love it.  Its the easiest stroller ever to fold and unfold and itsn't too heavy for a double.
