anyone here take tylenol pm?

just wondering b/c I keep hearing different things... I've taken it a couple times, but only 1/2 the dose.

I've taken benadryl which is the PM part of tylenol PM a few times. I don't feel nervous about it at all.

My doctor recommended Unisom or Benadryl.

I only take Tylenol PM if I'm hurting, can't sleep, AND haven't taken any Tylenol that day.  I regularly take Unisom, or else I really can't sleep at all. My doctor says it's perfectly safe.

I take Unisom or Benedryl.  If I'm in a lot of pain, I'll take a Tylenol PM, but it doesn't really help me sleep

I have, although I've found that it doesn't work like it usually does...I may sleep a little more, but not like I want/need to.

It's just Tylenol plus Benadryl.  I just take a Benedryl every once in a while if I can't sleep.  I prefer to take the two drugs seperately and not together.  It's cheaper and I can just take what I need.

yep, but only if I need the pain relief. If I need help sleeping, I take Unisom. The sleeping part of Tylenol PM has Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg in each gelcap, and that's the same ingredient/dosage in Unisom, at least the dry tablets. The gelcaps have a higher dose, and I find it makes me way too loopy.

My best friend does.  She said she takes the full dose and usually takes it every night.  Her Dr said she could so she does.  Not me though.  I hate taking meds regardless if I am pregnant...especially when it comes to something to help me sleep.  I'm always afraid I won't wake up on time or hear the kids if they wake up in the middle of the night.  Not too keen on the idea that it's Tylenol too.
