How would you fix these bags?

My class party is tomorrow (first grade).  I was stuffing their bags of oriental trading crap and candy when one of the handles tore off the bag at the seam.  Keep in mind that these are cheap, plastic bags.  It happened to another one.  A co-teacher's room mom said that she cut the tops off of all of theirs and it came right off.  ok, so I try it and the top of some of the bags now look shredded.  WTF do I do?  I'm not real thrilled with the teacher that put in the order.  We usually get a different bag and she changed it without telling any of us.  yes it is nice that she handles the order.  At this point, I cannot buy more bags and have to deal with what I have.  Any suggestions?  I don't want the parents to think I don't care.  Thx

Can you put the two sides together, fold it over, and use a sticker or something to seal it?
