I look at it this way: his crib is one of the few places I can contain him. When I put him down for bed or for a nap I know that he is going to stay in that crib and I don't have to worry about him. That all changes as soon as you give them that little bit of freedom! My kids will stay in their cribs until they can get out of them.

This is my philosophy but DH disagrees.? So we're transitioning this Christmas (she'll be 3 months shy of her 2nd bday).? Hopefully by the time new baby comes she won't feel "displaced."? I hope she likes it.? She's a good crib baby, not so sure she will "stay put" in a toddler bed.

Word.
Tallen looooves his cozy crib and sleeps so well in there and plays in there when he wakes up. He hasn't tried scaling the crib yet (except to get in) and until he does, he can stay in the crib!
