I'm back. :( and :)

Short story - Found out I was pregnant on our own on November 15th.  Betas were rising nicely.  First ultrasound showed a missed miscarriage.  D&C was yesterday. 

We never told our adoption agency about the pregnancy because we aren't on the active list yet.  I guess now we won't.

So :(

The good part - I am more than ever convinced that G and I are going to be fantastic parents and that this is the right path for us.  I feel so much more committed to the adoption process and our homestudy should be finalized anyday now. 

If you believe in signs (which I don't, but thought this was cool anyways), G went to meet a few work friends on the night of their christmas party and they had moved on to the casino.  He went in for a drink or two, put some money in a machine and won EXACTLY the amount of money that our next adoption invoice will be (not an insignificant amount of money either!).  So cool!!! 

So :)

Sad to have gone through that process, but am happy to be back here even more dedicated to our adoption plan.

    That's pretty cool that he won that amount!

    Hi Katerena,

     I think I remember you from the M/PL board.  I think we had both miscarried around the same time last year?   I'm sorry for all of your losses. 

    There is much support here as you continue your journey through the adoption process.  It truly is a great feeling to know that you WILL bring a baby home through adoption.  Best wishes to you, and congrats on getting the money you need to help pay the adoption fees! 

    DX: Severe MFI (very low motility) in 2006. 2 IVF's and 1 FET ended in 3 losses. Adopted our baby girl born 10/2/10. FET March 2012= c/p. Officially done with fertIlity treatments. Plan to start adoption process again 2014/2015.

    oh sweetie, I'm so so sorry for your loss. :-(   (((((((((hugs)))))))))))) I went through almost the same exact thing (started adoption process, got surprise BFP, stopped adoption process, had m/c and d&c, re-started adoption process) and felt the same way. I'm exactly where I should be. :-)

    and that's so awesome that your DH won the exact amount of money you needed! that's wild!!!
