Tell us about a lesson you had to learn the hard way.

I learned to pay off my credit cards each month... I was pleasantly surprised with how much more money I had when I started doing that.  Before I did, I was always broke because I was spending so much more for things by paying so much interest.

I learned that if I had this sneaking suspicion that something was wrong in a relationship, I needed to ask questions of the guy. Not ignore it in hopes that it would all be better! This took me me until I was , oh, 30.

Seems obvious, doesn't it?

This exactly!!!  Though if I did not learn that I would never have given my husband a chance because he was the nice guy that wouldn't be mean to me or cheat and would respect me, and I mean, who wants that?!?! 

 Man, I was a dumbas* when I was younger but luckily it worked out well for me.

Good question!

This is not as deep, but I had to learn the hard way that I'm allergic to M&Ms.  I kept getting mega headaches, and I couldn't figure out why...until I stopped scarfing the M&Ms all the time.  Who knew?  I'm not allergic to any other foods that I know of, including other types of chocolate.
