NTR: how long will Oreo truffles last?

That is if I don't eat them all right away.  I want to make them this weekend for Christmas day and the 26th do you think they would still be ok if I keep them in the fridge?

  • I would think they would be fine.

I made mine with Keebler grasshopper cookies instead of Oreos.  OMG yum.

Just make sure everyone knows they are grasshopper (as in mint and chocolate) truffles and not grasshopper (as in crunchy bugs) truffles.  Wink

  • If you make them with cream cheese, they have to stay in fridge but would last a few weeks.

You can also make them with a can of sweetened condensed milk, and then you don't have to keep them cold.

  • I just made 3 batches last weekend.  I read online you can freeze them for a week before dipping in the chocolate.  So I made my batches, froze them, and will pull them out to dip in chocolate as needed.  They are like crack, I can't stop eating them.
