Would you be worried...

L woke up with a dry diaper this morning.  He has another ear infection and is on zithromax.  I'm wondering if I should be worried about the dry diaper.  He's never done that before, in fact he is usually soaked in the morning.  He also wasn't 100% himself this morning, but that could just be the ear infection.  Would you be worried?

 P.S.  I haven't been online in awhile.  Work and life have been busy.  Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

Has he been drinking normally?  Do you have a nurses line you can call at the pedi?  If so, I'd just call and see what they say.  I don't think I'd be too worried just yet.

I wouldn't be worried - but I would call his ped.

Is he drinking normally? Has he had a wet diaper since waking up? If he's turning drinks away, then you should call. Also, if it's been a day or two since going on the zithro, they may want to know if there's been no change. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Thanks girls!  I sometimes question myself about calling, because I don't want to call for every small thing.  I've called a lot lately, but he's been sick a lot (which is part of the reason life has been so crazy). 

I did call the ped and they told me to call the pharmacist to check about side effect and to call daycare to see how he was doing with bottles and diapers.  Pharmacist said they didn't know of a side effect and it was probably nothing, but if it happens again to call the doctor.  Daycare said he's doing great, took his bottle without a problem, and has had  a couple of pretty wet diapers.  So we'll just keep an eye on him and watch for anything out of the ordinary and make sure he is hydrated.
