My pediatrician said to pick any milk-based formula and use it unless DS started having digestive issues. She said there were only slight differences between the different brands and that most of the generics were made by the brand name companies. She said "honestly, I tell people to just pick the cheapest option."
Now, if DS were having digestive issues, then she wouldn't be so laidback about it.
Our hospital put him on Enfamil Prosobee, so we've stuck with it. I probably wouldn't have gone straight to soy, but since he has a sensitive tummy it works well for him.

well it'd be easier just to start with a sensitive one just in case but they're about twice the cost so thats why no one does that.
we started on regular similac and have switched to enfamil gentlease because its easier on his tummy and has cut down on his gas, but it's $25 a can which lasts us 6 days

Similac since we started out with that at the hospital but we had to change to Similac Isomil/Soy formula. She is fine with that. Soon I am going to look for the cheaper brand at walmart/target to save money. I have been getting it on sale at the local grocery for $21 a can.
