Breathing Spasms

My LO will occassionally have these breathing spasms while sleeping.  They are almost like hiccups but doesn't make sounds.  They last for about 3-4 seconds.  He doesn't do it very often and his breathing returns to normal.  But I am wondering if anyone knows what this is?  TIA

    totally normal. The trachea isn't formed fully yet. We actually brought our baby to the dr. because of this and we were informed that there is absolutely nothing wrong.
