Well... I want to donate the cord blood to the national bank, because we can't really afford to store it. But I have found that there is some planning and paperwork that must be done before delivery. No one in my family has really had any of the diseases that the cord blood is used for and it normally only helps siblings not the actual child. I hope that I am not making the wrong choice by not storing it for personal use. I just feel that it will get better results if it is open to a bank of people who need it. I really need to get the paperwork done, so it has some use. I mean why not do it, when it could save other's life. We may all need an organ or some type of donation from giving individuals one day.
