Adjustable waist pants/jeans for toddler?

I have the hardest time finding pants for Jonas. He needs an 18 month in length, but is nowhere near that in the waist.

Suggestions?

  • In the past I bought some adjustable shorts and such at Baby Gap.  It has been a while though....maybe check their website or call your local store and ask.

  • Old Navy and Childrens place have these pants

  • Baby Gap. DS is really tall and skinny and those are the best pants I can fimd. 3T from there are a touch too short, but I have the waist still cinched in all the way, so I can't go to 4T yet. Maybe I should just get him some belts.

  • All the pants my mom gave me for dd from target had the adjustable waist.  And I think a few are from the childrens place.

  • I remember them being hard to find until we got to toddler sizes. Target may carry some (in their Oskhosh brand). I don't think Gymboree starts until 2T. Old Navy maybe? They fit a bit slimmer anyway, at least in girls.

Yeah, I'm just finding them in 2T and up. Guess he's just out of luck until then. He'll just wear ridiculously short pants...lol.

  • I get most of DD's jeans at Children's Place and Gap, they are the only 2 places I have found so far that offer them. What I do though is to just cinch the waist of her pants that are not adjustable. I just put a stitch in either side and then if she ever 'fills out' I can just cut it out.

  • I have the same problem with pants for my 13 month old.  I bought a pair of jeans at Target (18 month size) with the adjustable waist.  They are perfect!  I think the pp is right that it might be Target's Oshkosh brand.  HTH!

Oh good idea! I never even thought of this.

I agree CP does have 18 month pants that are adjustable waist.

  • Crazy 8 has adjustable waist in their 6-12 month jeans that I got for DD, but I'm not sure if all of their pants have it or just the jeans.

  • Also, you can try loop-2-loop belts.  I found them on etsy and love them!

  • that gap! the gap! the gap! their pants are a lifesaver, since PAC is a 2T-3T length and 18-24 month waist.

TCP also started making some pants, mainly jeans, in adjustable waist.
