Another update and anyone that has had a CP please come in

So here is the history of my saga... https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/27229723.aspx I finally got a BFP on Wednesday at 19dpo. Confirmed with digital at 20dpo and started spotting that day (dark brown). Went to dr and was checked. Cervix was closed and blood was old. Blood drawn- progesterone was 5.5 and hcg was 145. Test repeated on Saturday-hcg 205. Rising but not doubling. Given prescription for progesterone supplement. Repeat blood drawn today. Still spotting but less and still brown. Mentioned I was crampy this morning so they did an u/s at what should be 5w5d. Saw nothing, nada, no sac, nothing. Dr thinks it is a CP. Getting a repeat u/s tomorrow and results of blood test. I guess they are hoping it goes down. I have never really had AF though, nothing has been red..just brown. Can anyone give me some perspective on this? I don't know what to think or hope for at this point. I just had a m/c back in aug.

I had a CP in Aug. Basically, it is just a very early miscarriage that happens before week 6. I had three days of positive tests, including a digital, but the lines never darkened. On the fourth day the digital came back negative and bloodwork drawn then also came back negative. I started bleeding that day.

I certainly hope your story ends differently. I am so sorry for your earlier loss, and that you are dealing with this now.

I just went through a CP last week (my 2nd m/c), so big hugs to you. Hopefully you are not experiencing the same thing. If you want to PM me I'll tell you more about my experience. But I will tell you my numbers didn't get as high as yours. My first draw was 34, then 68 then 107, the final draw I had was last Tuesday and my number only went up to 109. They dropped to 0 and AF has already shown up. Hopefully your situation will be totally different though. HUGS!!

I'm sorry you're going through this. (((hugs)))  My 1st m/c was a CP.  I got a bfp and then 4 days later started bleeding.  My hcg went from 16 to 18 (so really, I don't know how I got a +hpt...and on a digital!) and then I m/c.

I really hope this isn't the case for you!  It's good that they started you on the progesterone, and it's also good that your bleeding has not progressed past brown spotting.  Since you didn't get a +hpt until late in your cycle (19dpo, right?) implantation probably occurred relatively late, and so you may not be 5w5d.  They really can't see anything on an u/s until hcg is above 2,000.  I know how scary this is, especially after already having one m/c.  I really hope you get great news about your blood test tomorrow!!  And again, don't freak out if you don't see much (or anything) on that 2nd u/s.  It's SUPER early.  Try to hang in there!!
