Anyone have the ParaGard IUD?

I'm getting the ParaGard inserted on Tuesday.  I'm a little sad, a little nervous, a little excited, a little everything...

If you've had it, is there anything you think I should definitely know or be aware of?

    I loved it, the oly issue I had was that the bleeding was a little heavier, and the cramping was a little worst, but other than that it was great.

    I can't help but see that you used the past-tense and you're expecting a surprise...

    Did you get pregnant while using the ParaGard??

    We cannot get pregnant again, but DH is avoiding a vasectomy like the plague right now...  LOL!

    Oh no, not with the paragard I had it removed a year later and had DD, then we got the Mirena, and it was the worst eperience for me, and had it removed. The surprise came 2 months later while using the good old pull and pray method. DH was still not sure about the vasectomy, but he is now, he's getting it done in 2 months.
