    They were talking about this on the today show! yikes! scared me about having out crib near a window... i may be looking into new blinds (even though the ones we have aren't recalled)

    My mom has these in her living room and the chords do hang low. I mean my nephew has survived around them, but she may want to get the kit in case.

    it honestly doesn't hurt to just be safe. the blinds throughout our house have a string that is rather high, but the ones in two of the bedrooms worry me. 3 windows aren't a big deal, i may just replace them.

    Am I the only person that has read before that you're supposed to trim the cords so they don't hang so low?  Wouldn't that solve the problem?

    My mom got those before the grand kids came and we were obviously adults so I doubt she paid attention to it. I agree though in shortening the chords.
