6 weeks old and first time off the shield!

We've used a shield since day one, due to a poor latch and an flat nipple. Tonight I couldn't find any of my shields! so I decided since he was hungry I would just attempt nursing with out, basically giving him a snack, and then finding the shield. I figured he wouldn't be able to nurse w/o it. Nope my little champ nursed just fine. I seriously thought he would reject my normal nipple since he gets nightly bottles and the shield!

I'm so happy. I seriously hate toting around the shield if I think I might need to nurse! and I'm always losing them.

Woo Hoo!  That gives me hope.  I've tried a few times without it, and my LO gets frustrated.  He is only 2 weeks old, though.  I will keep trying!
